At 1PointFive, we believe in the power of collective responsibility to create a brighter future for the communities we operate in. We are proud of the positive impact we made in Texas and Louisiana through volunteer work, donations, and strategic partnerships in 2024. Here are a few of the initiatives that helped our team and our partners give back throughout the year.
Bringing Books to Students with the Barbara Bush Literacy Foundation
We supported the Barbara Bush Literacy Foundation's “My Home Library” program, putting books directly into the hands of young readers. Through our sponsorship, we distributed over 42,000 books to elementary students across Livingston Parish, Allen Parish, Chambers County, and Nueces County.

Keeping the Coast Clean with the Corpus Christi Hooks
Our partnership with the Corpus Christi Hooks for the Coastal Paddle Cleanup saw volunteers contributing 27 hours of work and collecting 80 Up2U bags of trash. Keeping the coast clean helps support local wildlife and recreational activities of residents in the area. Together, we protected our coastal environment and inspired others to take action for cleaner communities.

Fighting Hunger with West Texas Food Bank
During Hunger Action Month, we collaborated with the West Texas Food Bank to serve 220 meals, provided $4,000 to plant a butterfly garden, and donated 4,400 pounds of food to families in need. This multifaceted approach demonstrates our commitment to addressing food insecurity and environmental sustainability simultaneously.

Supporting Families with Communities in Schools of the Coastal Bend
To ensure families in Kleberg and Nueces Counties had holiday meals, we teamed up with Communities in Schools of the Coastal Bend to provide $125 H-E-B gift cards to 400 families. By the end of the year, this support reached a total of 800 families—a testament to the impact we have when we come together.
Planting Trees with the Houston Texans
In partnership with the Houston Texans TD for Trees initiative, we planted 71 trees—symbolizing 1.5 trees for every touchdown the Texans scored this season. These trees contribute to greener, healthier spaces in our local communities.
